Dr. Allen, Medical Director of the Stroke Center at St. Joseph Health Center and Dr. Kelley, Medical Director of the Stroke Center at Shawnee Mission Medical Center recently travelled to San Diego, California to be a part of the annual International Stroke Conference. This 2 1/2 day conference provided a forum in which recent scientific work related to stroke and cerebrovascular disease was presented, discussed, and debated. Our physicians continue to attend this conference every year because of their dedication to directing our hospitals in optimum stroke prevention and treatment.
