Arthur A. Allen, II, M.D.

Dr. Arthur Allen founded Neurology Consultants, Chtd. in 1979 along with Dr. Michael Ryan. Dr. Allen received his medical doctorate from The University of Kansas. As a post graduate, he fulfilled his rotating internship at Los Angeles County - University of Southern California Medical Center. He completed both his internal medicine and his neurology residencies at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Between residencies, Dr. Allen served two years in the United States Air Force as an Internist.
Dr. Allen currently serves as the Medical Director of the Stroke Center at St. Joseph Medical Center. He is a member of the American Medical Association, The American Academy of Neurology, past president of both the Kansas City Neurologic Society and of The Medical Staff of St. Joseph Medical Center, among many other professional organizations. Dr. Allen continues to earn Ingram's Business Magazine's "Kansas City's Top Doc's" award and has been honored by the Southwest Clinical Society as past President and Director of Clinics. Dr. Allen thoroughly enjoys the clinical nature of neurology. He uses his expert knowledge and skill, along with his exceptional bedside manner to diagnose and care for his many patients.
Kimberly A. Cochran, M.D.
Board Eligible in Neurology and Psychiatry
Dr Kimberly Cochran joined Neurology Consultants, Chtd. in January of 2002. She received her medical doctorate from University of Kansas and finished her Internal Medicine Residency at University of Missouri, Kansas City – Truman Medical Center/St. Luke's Hospital. She completed her Neurology Residency at the University of Kansas. Before relocating to Neurology Consultants, Chtd. she practiced Neurology at the Kansas Medical Clinic in Topeka, Kansas.
Dr. Cochran is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Neurology, the Kansas Medical Society, and the American Medical Women’s Association. She served as past Chairperson of Department of Medicine at St. Francis Medical Center. Although practicing neurology is her current passion, Dr. Cochran has many other facets to her professional repertoire. She has been a business owner, actress and lead singer in two bands. She truly enjoys connecting with her many patients and working with them to help them obtain the highest possible quality of life.
Gordon R. Kelley, M.D.

Dr. Gordon Kelley joined Neurology Consultants, Chtd. in 1983 and serves as one of the three owning partners. Dr. Kelley received his medical degree from The University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. He fulfilled his postgraduate internship training as well as his Internal Medicine Residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals. He completed his Neurology Residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Kelley currently serves as the Medical Director of the Stroke Center for Excellence at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Shawnee Mission Medical Center's Institute of Spirituality in Health. Dr. Kelley is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Neurology, the American Stroke Association, the American Academy of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and the Kansas Medical Society, among many other professional organizations. Dr. Kelley actively participates in the improvement of neurologic medicine and has served as primary investigator for studies on stroke and vascular disease. He has published research articles and serves as an adhoc reviewer for the medical journal, Neurology.
Michael E. Ryan, M.D.

Dr. Michael Ryan founded Neurology Consultants, Chtd. in 1979 along with Dr. Arthur Allen and serves as the company's managing partner. Dr. Ryan received his medical doctorate from The University of Kansas. He fulfilled his internship and Internal Medicine Residency at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He completed his Neurology Residency at the University of California in San Diego.
Dr. Ryan is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Neurology and American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, among many other professional organizations. Throughout his 31-year-history as a practicing neurologist, Dr. Ryan has lectured to many professional organizations, served as past president of the Kansas City Neurologic Society as well as Chairman of Department of Medicine at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. He is actively involved in the advancement of the field of neurology and continues to care for and effectively treat his many patients with neurologic conditions.
